Chris Mamunes was born in Willimantic, Connecticut on December 8, 1959. He received scholarships to attend Marianapolis Preparatory School in Thompson, Connecticut and Washington College in Chestertown, Maryland. After earning his B.A. in 1981, Chris served 4 years as a Commissioned Officer in the United States Marine Corps. In 1985 he began his investment career with Alex. Brown & Sons in Baltimore, Maryland.
As a Financial Advisor at Alex. Brown, Chris developed an interest in technical analysis using point and figure technology. This type of technical analysis was developed by Charles Dow in the late 1800's and is the basis of Railroad Street Wealth Management's portfolio management methodology. Chris has over 35 years of experience as a Financial Advisor. After witnessing the Great Financial Crisis of 2008, Chris realized his methodology was able to add value to his clients versus the traditional buy and hold approach. He lives in Odenton, Maryland with his wife Julie and has two grown sons and a grown daughter.
